We’re excited to announce that Michael Cleary has been promoted to Associate Partner at Highview Accounting & Financial at our Mornington office!
As a local to the Mornington Peninsula, Michael is passionate about supporting the businesses and people who make the region such a great place to live and work. Since joining Highview almost three years ago, he has become a trusted adviser to his clients and a valued leader within the team. Known for his approachable nature, professionalism and commitment to helping others succeed, this promotion is a well-deserved recognition of the contribution he continues to make to both our clients and Highview.
For Michael, becoming an Associate Partner is an exciting milestone in his career.
“It’s an exciting step and something I’m really proud of,” he said. “I’m grateful for the opportunities, support and trust I’ve received along the way.”
Michael began his accounting career in industry before moving into public practice, where he discovered a passion for working closely with business owners and building long-term client relationships.
“I was attracted to accounting because it combines problem-solving, strategy and working with people,” he said, “…and I get to sit in an air-conditioned office!”
While the humour is classic Michael, it’s helping clients achieve their goals that has kept him passionate about the profession.
Whether he’s helping clients navigate challenges or celebrating their successes, Michael enjoys building trusted relationships that grow over time. Seeing the positive impact that good advice can have on both a business and the people behind it is what motivates him every day.
Throughout his career, Michael has been fortunate to learn from a number of mentors and colleagues. More recently, Highview Mornington Partner Sam Nixon has played an important role in his development, helping shape his approach to client service, leadership and the transition into an Associate Partner role.
Michael is also grateful for the many people who have generously shared their knowledge throughout his career, and he’s passionate about doing the same for the next generation of Accountants through mentoring and supporting their development.
Looking ahead, Michael is excited to continue contributing to Highview’s growth, strengthen relationships with clients and help create lasting value for the businesses he works with.
