A huge congratulations to Melanie Pitzer on her promotion to Associate Partner at Highview Accounting & Financial at our Cranbourne office!
If you’ve had the chance to work with Mel over the past eight years, this news will come as no surprise. She’s built a reputation for forming genuine relationships with clients, supporting those around her, and approaching every challenge with care, commitment and a positive attitude. This promotion is incredibly well deserved, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to this position.
For Mel, the appointment marks the achievement of a goal she’s been working towards for many years.
“It’s really hard to describe how it feels,” she said. “This is something I have wanted and worked hard to achieve for a long time. It’s exciting, a little scary and quite surreal. Everything I’ve always wanted is now a reality. It’s simply a dream come true.”
Mel has spent the past 12 years in public practice, including the last eight years at Highview, progressing from Accountant to Senior Accountant, then Accounting Manager, and now Associate Partner.
What first attracted her to accounting was the opportunity to help people grow their businesses and build long-term financial security. That purpose still drives her today.
One of the most rewarding parts of her role is the relationships she builds with clients. Whether she’s helping someone through a challenging period or celebrating their success, Mel takes pride in being someone they can rely on. She also enjoys getting to know the people behind the business and hearing about their families, interests and, of course, their next holiday destination.
Mel credits much of her growth to the people who have supported her throughout her career, particularly Senior Partner, Darren Crowther.
“I came to Highview from a large corporate firm, and Darren’s approach to working with clients was very different to what I’d experienced,” Mel said. “His mentorship has helped me develop a more holistic approach to servicing clients and leading a team. He’s taught me countless lessons about business and life, and those experiences have shaped the person and leader I am today.”
As she steps into her new role, Mel is excited to contribute fresh ideas to Highview’s leadership team and continue helping shape the future of the business.
