Matthew is highly regarded within the Highview community and brings a proactive, strategic approach to meeting his clients’ needs.

Highview welcomed Matthew Lazzaro in 2016, and he has been a fantastic asset to the team ever since. In July 2022, Matt was named Associate Partner, recognising the strong value he has brought to Highview through his years of commitment and service.

Based at the Cranbourne office, Matt manages clients within Silvio’s large team and is a significant addition with his extensive knowledge and experience.

Before joining Highview, Matt completed a Bachelor of Commerce at La Trobe University. He then worked as both an Accountant and Client Manager for firms in Balwyn and Essendon, during which time he attained his CPA accreditation. Now, with over 15 years of accounting and management experience, Matt has become an integral member of the Highview team and a confident mentor to others across the business.

Matt explains the most rewarding part of his role at Highview: “By its very nature, Highview is fast paced and collaborative. Highview is fuelled by its hard-working people and the environment here is ingrained in a positive ethos that makes it a very attractive place to work.”

One of Matt’s greatest passions at Highview is building strong relationships and working closely with both colleagues and clients. As a leader within the business, Matt has been provided with the platform to utilise his strengths and passions, allowing him to thrive and deliver exceptional outcomes for his clients.

“It’s a privilege to work closely with our clients. I’m able to build strong relationships, really listen to them and understand both their personal and business goals. The main focus for me is understanding what our clients want to achieve and helping them execute and reach those aspirations – it’s incredibly rewarding.”

Another aspect Matt values about Highview is the business’s commitment to consistently delivering the highest standard of client service across its diverse client groups.

Matt also highlights the ongoing learning opportunities available at Highview: “Monthly training and mentoring opportunities mean our staff are continuously improving their skills and staying ahead of the curve in many important areas of Australian business.”

When Matt’s not crunching numbers at the office, he’s an adrenaline junkie who loves snowboarding and wakeboarding. During the winter months, Matt enjoys heading to Mount Buller, while in summer he spends weekends at his holiday house in Bonnie Doon enjoying time on the water.

Matt is passionate about the outdoors and feels most at home when he’s in nature. He also loves spending quality time with his daughter Emilia, who continues to keep life exciting and rewarding outside of work.
