The Winning Trivia Table – Chrisi’s Unicorns!

In an effort to raise funds towards the ‘Casey Relay For Life’ Highview hosted our first Trivia Night last night. We’d like to send out a huge THANK YOU to the 160+ that attended – it’s fair to say it was a massively successful night filled with fun, prizes and educational trivia.

On the night we managed to raise $6,349.80 towards the Cancer Council. On top of what has already been collected in the past months, our teams donation figure is now at a total of $10,021.65 and STILL COUNTING! We have reached our $10,000 fundraising goal, and can’t contain our excitement!

An awesome night was had by staff, clients, friends & family of ours. The community rallied together to support the cause; we had guests from the Cranbourne Cricket & Football Clubs and many local businesses. We are particularly grateful to the Cranbourne Turf Club for offering the venue free of charge and donating all the food! It was certainly extremely humbling to see such generosity in the community when planning this fundraising event, enabling every single cent raised to go directly to the cause.

The weekend of March 14 2014 will see all our fundraising efforts come to a climax, as Akoonah Park Berwick is transformed – bringing the Casey community together to ‘relay as one’ and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and fight back against cancer.

Fifteen members of Highview staff will be taking part in the relay, walking as a team for the 24 hours.

So many of us have been touched by cancer in some form or another – whether it be a personal battle or by helping a family member, friend or colleague through the fight. The Relay For Life events are a great way to show support, and Highview is pleased to be able to make a positive impact in our communities.

The Highview team are proud to be raising awareness and much needed research funds for the Cancer Council and of course, are pumped about the 24 hour relay next month – wish us luck!
