Tax Appointment Checklist: Be Prepared
Take the stress out of tax by being prepared for your upcoming appointment…
– HIGHVIEW’S APPOINTMENT CHECKLIST –
Note: you only need to bring the items listed that are applicable to your current circumstance (i.e. if you do not own a rental or investment property point 9 is not applicable to you.)
- PAYG Withholding certificate(s); Group certificates; Termination payments
- Australian Government pensions and payments
- Bank statements showing interest received for the financial year
- Dividend statements
- Managed fund / investment tax statement
- Receipts for any work related expenses, including car, logbook for travel, uniform, self education
- Private health insurance statement (if insured)
- Income protection insurance statement (if insured)
- Rental statements and receipts pertaining to investment properties
- Last year’s tax return and invoice
- Bank details for electronic funds transfer: BSB No & Account No
- Current home loan bank statement(s)
- Small Businesses: list of business income & expenses summarised for the current financial year
