Meet the owners of The Bottle-O Mornington
From the moment you enter the store, the reason for the businesses success is evident. You’re greeted immediately by warm and friendly faces. While I had a perusal of the stock, I found myself thinking about how quickly I located the exact bottle of wine I was looking for. I don’t know how many times I have wandered around large liquor stores in circles, chasing my tail, to then have to find (often to no avail) a staff member to assist me. Not here. The refurbished layout flows and makes perfect sense, thanks to the storeowner’s years of experience in grocery!
Meet Vekas and Lil – husband and wife, parents to 3 gorgeous children, and proud owners of The Bottle-O on Wilson’s Rd Mornington.
Vekas and Lil have been operating The Bottle-O for just over 7 years. Purely by accident they came across the opportunity to purchase the business, and haven’t looked back since!
In the time I was there to meet Vekas and Lil half a dozen people popped in to make purchases, but what became obvious to me was why each of the customers chose to come to this liquor store – out of the 14 other options in the local area (yes fourteen!). Undoubtedly, it was the customer service. You cannot beat the personable natures of Vekas and Lil, they know their customers well, and even if you’re new to the store, you’re made to feel like a regular.
“To run a successful business it is imperative that you put your customers first. Your customer is your priority. We offer a fair price for a fair product, and we love what we do – and it shows!” were some wise words from Vekas. Importantly, Vekas also stated that “you get out what you put into a business” which I’m sure resinates with all business owners.
