Keep Calm and Relay On!
Keep Calm & Relay On!
Our relay team members are resting their heels this week after a tremendous effort at the Casey Relay For Life event on the weekend. From 6pm Friday 14th – 6pm Saturday 15th March 16 of us walked in the 24 hour relay at Akoonah Park, Berwick.
The park was jam packed with teams and supporters. It was such a fun, well organised event and our team had a ball! Knowing it was all for such a great cause definitely added to the celebratory atmosphere.
Since September last year our staff have been fundraising – and their commitment has paid off. We set a team goal of raising $10,000 towards the research, support and prevention initiatives of Cancer Council Victoria, and when we hit the $10,000 mark in February we were ecstatic, staff were jumping around the office exchanging high-fives and celebrating! It’s been a lot of work, a true team effort, and well worth every moment.
Our team however, didn’t stop fundraising at $10,000! We managed to ‘Keep Calm & Relay On’ raising a total of $11,115.35 towards the Cancer Council – in the top five highest team amounts raised in the City of Casey.
We are proud to have been involved in the Casey Relay For Life this year, raising awareness and much needed research funds for the Cancer Council, and are excited about what 2015 may hold – now that we are professional fundraisers of course! 🙂
Thank you again to every single person that supported our efforts, whether it be with monetary or time donations. Every single effort counted, and without such great support we never could have achieved what we did. Thank you!
