Highview raises over $12K for the Alannah & Madeline foundation
On Sunday July 30th Team Highview participated in Run Melbourne to raise awareness and funds for the Alannah & Madeline Foundation.
23 Highview staff, family & friends set a team target of raising $10,000 for the foundation; a wonderful cause that our team were immensely proud to support.
Two weeks prior to Run Melbourne our team had not only met our fundraising target – but had smashed it out the park! Our teams final fundraising amount was $12, 918.33.
We’d like to congratulate our team on their involvement in Run Melbourne and fundraising success – Cranbourne Partner Silvio completed the Half Marathon (21km), a team of 5 completed the 10km run & a whole bunch of others ran / walked the 6km track. Great effort by all!
Special shout out to Silvio for also being in the TOP 20 individual fundraisers for Run Melbourne 2017 – what an impressive achievement.
Thank you to all who have supported us! It was truly a team effort.
About the Alannah & Madeline Foundation:
The Alannah & Madeline Foundation is the leading national not-for-profit organisation protecting children from violence and creating behavioral change in the community to address bullying and cyberbullying.
The Foundation was established in memory of Alannah and Madeline Mikac, aged 6 and 3, who were tragically killed with their mother and 32 others at Port Arthur, Tasmania on 28 April 1996.
The Foundation cares for children who have experienced or witnessed violence, and runs programs that help to prevent violence in the lives of children. Our vision is that every child will live in a safe and supportive environment.
