Highview helping vulnerable children one backpack at a time.
Over the past few weeks, our team at Highview Cranbourne have generously contributed much-needed donations to Backpacks 4 Kids. The purpose of this charity is to provide crisis packs to vulnerable children, aged from birth to 17 years old, at a time when they need it most. Often children are relocated quickly without much more than what they are wearing at the time of displacement.
As a team, we are proud to have collected backpacks, clothes, books, underwear, toys and toiletries which will all be delivered to the charity this weekend.
Our Accountant, Roma Grewal, was the champion team member who coordinated this successful collection. She believes “If you do good deeds, then good deeds come back to you. Children are the most vulnerable in our society, being dependent on their parents and carers to shape their thinking, health and future. They must be protected and provided for at all costs, as they make up the future society our own kids will be co-existing with. Backpacks 4 VIC Kids helps kids with essentials at their hardest times which can bridge the gap by providing much needed support.”
Since its inception in 2014, Backpacks 4 Kids have distributed almost 30,000 crisis packs to kids in crisis. For more information, visit their website: https://www.backpacks4vickids.org.au/
