Senior Partner at Highview Accounting & Financial, Simon’s role has been paramount in the growth of this multi award-winning firm. Specifically, he’s lead the success and impressive growth of the Prahran office – from one employee in 2011 to 20 in 2025. Simon has also played an integral part in the expansion of Highview from a singular accounting business structure to a large ‘Head Office’ structure with multiple successful businesses with differing service offerings.

Simon is a passionate entrepreneur with technical accounting knowledge that surpasses the norm. He’s a leader that knows all too well what it means to get trapped in the day-to-day running of a business and he’s passionate about sharing his multiple business breakthroughs that deliver increases in profits, income and asset value.

Trust and integrity lie at the core of Simon’s coaching approach. He’ll get involved in your business at a meaningful level to uncover or discover strategies to leverage results and plan for the future.

Although clearly Simon is busy with Highview, he loves spending his free time with his three children who love playing basketball, football and dancing. As well as precious family time, he also enjoys playing golf and catching up with friends.

Beau Appleby

Partner, Prahran

Beau has over 10 years’ of tax & accounting experience in a variety of different industries & sectors.

Highview welcomed Beau to the Prahran team in July 2014, starting as a Graduate Accountant after completing his degree in Accounting and Econometrics at Monash University. Since then, Beau has been highly career motivated and advanced from an Assistant Accountant to Senior Accountant & Client Services Manager in 4 swift years. Continuing to prove his dedication to Highview and commitment to his career, more recently Beau was proud to be named Associate Partner at Highview Accounting & Financial Prahran. Having finished his CPA in 2017, Beau then remained focused and completed his CPA Practice Management certification, enhancing and refining his skills in strategic business planning.

Beau has a warm but determined and contagious drive about him that assists him in every aspect of his work. Working closely under the guidance of Partner Simon Byers, Beau is an incredible asset to the Prahran team. He works closely and collaboratively with his team to provide the best service and outcomes for their clients because he truly cares.

Anthony Lai

Accountant | Associate Partner , Prahran

Anthony is a detailed, analytical & performance-driven professional who prides himself on surpassing his clients’ expectations.

With an Accounting career spanning just over seven years, Anthony is recognized for his exceptional dedication to delivering high-quality service to his clients.

Joining Highview in 2019, Anthony has demonstrated outstanding performance in his role as an Accountant, leading to his recent promotion to Associate Partner in 2024. He thrives on assisting businesses with various challenges, including tax obligations, organisational structure, and cashflow management. What Anthony loves the most about his career is witnessing the growth and success of his clients as they navigate their entrepreneurial journeys.

Outside of work, Anthony resides in a nearby apartment in South Yarra with his fiancé, Tye, and their two-year-old King Charles Cavalier, Chestnut. He appreciates the convenience of living in proximity to the office and loves the neighbourhood.

In his spare time, Anthony and Tye love going to the gym, wine bar hopping and indulging at the restaurants that Melbourne has to offer. Taking Chestnut out for walks or hikes along trails or the beach is also a favourite past time. On quieter days, they unwind by watching movies at home while drinking wine.

Since childhood, Anthony has held a deep fascination for fish and aquariums and is particularly passionate about aquascaping – the art of designing visually stunning fish tanks with natural elements such as rocks, wood, and plants. He hopes to introduce a fish tank into their home soon, with Tye’s approval!

Richard Vaughan

Cameron Stewart

Insurance Account Manager, Prahran

Cameron is a dedicated professional in a pivotal role of managing Highview’s Insurance Services. He prides himself on approaching client’s needs in a proactive manner, with their best interests always at the forefront.

Cameron has delivered exceptional service to his clients for 6+ years, with his expertise and knowledge in the insurance industry being incredibly valued. A key strength of his lies in simplifying the insurance industry ‘jargon’. Insurance policies are often considered daunting, highly detailed and difficult to understand. Cameron has the ability to break down the complex details for his clients to always ensure they feel comfortable and confidently informed regarding all their insurance options. 

Of utmost importance to Cameron, is his care and willingness to take the time to thoroughly understand clients’ personal and business needs to ensure he can provide the most suitable insurance options. 

Cameron lives with his wife, Hannah and two children, Molly and Henry in Bayside. On weekends they like to keep active by going on bike rides, watching the kids play sport and gardening. He also loves to watch the footy (go Kangas!) On long weekends and over school holidays, Cameron and his family enjoy taking short trips to Metung and the Gippsland Lakes.

Terri Holt

Practice Manager | Head Office, Prahran

Terri brings with her a vast amount of experience in Business, Human Resources and Accounting. The skills she has developed ensures she is professional all-rounder, working across all four Highview offices. 

Before joining Highview in early 2023, Terri had completed 11 years in the Accounting Industry and graduated with a Masters of Professional Accounting. She also has a Bachelor of Business, majoring in HR.

All these varied skills make her the perfect Practice Manager for Highview, as she has come to know all aspects of the inner workings of an Accounting firm. She is organised and meticulous, which is highly needed for this busy role. Terri works closely with the Partners to deliver effective Accounting and Administration procedures to improve our business efficiency and client service across all areas of the Highview business.

Terri also loves to keep busy in her spare time by being active, catching up with friends, wining and dining, and chasing after her two young girls, Millie and Reegan.
